JIM'S STORYBOOK PORTAL

Project Portfolio

Pasadena Somewhere, 1983

This is a showcase for all my original works and projects. I use several methods for storytelling, ranging from comics to short stories and novellas.

As of now, there are three main fiction universes I dabble in. Pasadena Somewhere, 1983, is a webcomic with supporting short stories and novel-in-progress that I've been working on since 2019. Blue City Arsenic is a collection of short stories (potentially a future book?) that has been in progress since 2021. My newest cast of characters are from The Scrimshaw Portrait, which is still under massive development.

Ongoing Series

Pasadena Somewhere, 1983

Pasadena Somewhere, 1983: twin schoolteachers enthusiastically pursue their goal of becoming legendary inventors, but when they run into a suave, mysterious time-traveler, their dreams must go on the back burner as they're led into a tangle of lies and mistaken identities.

Blue City Arsenic: Best friends since childhood, Monty and City always knew they would be inseparable to the end. Monty just didn't realize how far City would drag him, and doesn't know why he can't let go.

The Scrimshaw Portrait: On an 18th century voyage, the fiery boatswain Dutch meets the meek wayward cook Dodger. The unlikely friendship brings each of them their better half, and they almost fear the day they reach the harbor and have to say goodbye. But Dutch should have never wished that he wouldn't ever leave the ship.
